Crown and Bridge

Strengthening and Restoring Your Smile

At Dental Greetings, we offer dental crowns and bridges to strengthen weakened teeth and restore your smile. Crowns and bridges are durable, long-lasting solutions designed to protect damaged teeth and replace missing ones, enhancing both function and aesthetics.

What is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is a shell-like cap that covers a weakened tooth to strengthen and protect it. By surrounding the tooth 360 degrees with porcelain or metal, a crown reduces the risk of fracture by distributing bite forces more evenly. Porcelain crowns also enhance the appearance of your teeth, providing a natural look.

    What is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge is used to replace a missing tooth. It consists of two crowns placed on the teeth adjacent to the gap, with a false tooth (pontic) fabricated in porcelain joined between the two crowns. This structure “bridges” the gap, restoring your smile and maintaining the alignment of your teeth.

    Types of Crowns

Crowns are generally categorised into two major types:

    Tooth-Coloured Ceramic (Zirconia, EMAX, Porcelain)

These materials are chosen for their aesthetic appeal, mimicking the natural colour and translucency of teeth.

    Gold and Other Metal Alloys

These materials offer exceptional strength and durability, often used for molars where the bite force is higher.

Depending on your tooth’s condition and your personal preference, our dentist will help you choose the material that best suits your needs.
